Le Danger originally appeared in April 1996, eight years after Hardy had seemed to bow out with Décalages. She wrote all the lyrics herself and left the music to guitarist Alain Lubrano and to Rodolphe Burger of Kat Onoma, which gave the album a harder, guitar-driven sound than her earlier work. Mode d'emploi ?, Un peu d'eau, and the title track are among the best-known songs; Regarde-toi closes the run. AllMusic reviewer Richie Unterberger writes that it "comes as something of a shock" to hear her sing against "assertive, guitar-oriented modern rock arrangements".

This edition is a 2-LP, with the single version of Un peu d'eau as an extra track.
