Hardy recorded her third album, originally from November 1964, in London with the orchestra of Charles Blackwell. She did not write the title track: Mon amie la rose was by Cécile Caulier and Jacques Lacome, and began as a poem written after the death of the actress Sylvia Lopez. Hardy approached Caulier herself for permission to record it. It became one of her best-known songs, later performed again by Natacha Atlas and Jarvis Cocker, among others. The same album holds Dans le monde entier, whose English version All Over the World reached number 16 in Britain in 1965. She also adapted Italian and American songs, from Je n'attends plus personne to Pas gentille, taken from Marty Wilde's Bad Boy.
