Appetite for Destruction is the debut album by American hard rock band Guns N' Roses, originally released in 1987. The line-up was singer Axl Rose, guitarists Slash and Izzy Stradlin, bassist Duff McKagan, and drummer Steven Adler, with Mike Clink producing. The album ties hard, bluesy riffs to lyrics about Los Angeles nightlife, from the opening blast of Welcome to the Jungle through Mr. Brownstone and Rocket Queen. The singles Welcome to the Jungle, Paradise City, and Sweet Child o' Mine broke the band wide open; the last of those reached number one in the United States in 1988, after which the album topped the Billboard 200 as well, more than a year after its release. This edition is a limited edition 2-LP.
