Jimi Hendrix - Electric Lady Studios: A Jimi Hendrix Vision (CD)

In the summer of 1970 Jimi Hendrix moved into Electric Lady Studios, the studio he had built in Greenwich Village, which opened in August 1970, a few weeks before his death. This box, released in October 2024 by Experience Hendrix and Legacy Recordings, gathers 39 recordings from those months, 38 of them previously unreleased: takes, alternate mixes and jams around Freedom, Dolly Dagger, Angel and Astro Man, played with Billy Cox on bass and Mitch Mitchell on drums. The Blu-ray carries the documentary of the same name by John McDermott, with interviews including Steve Winwood, Billy Cox and engineer Eddie Kramer, plus 5.1 mixes of the complete First Rays of the New Rising Sun. This edition is a box with three CDs and a Blu-ray.
