Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade is the film score composed by the American composer John Williams for the 1989 film of the same name, the third instalment in Steven Spielberg's Indiana Jones series. Williams builds on the familiar "Raiders March" and adds new themes, including a motif for the protagonist's father and a theme surrounding the quest for the Holy Grail. The orchestral score alternates adventurous action music with reflective, lyrical passages. The work is a textbook example of Williams' narrative, thematic film music.
