Rocka Rolla was the 1974 debut album by Judas Priest, recorded for Gull Records with producer Rodger Bain, who had just made the first three Black Sabbath albums. The band still sounded bluesy and progressive here, with drawn-out pieces such as Run of the Mill and Caviar and Meths and with John Hinch behind the drums. Rob Halford, K.K. Downing, and Ian Hill were already in place and Glenn Tipton had just joined, but the hard metal profile of later years had not yet taken shape. The album did not chart, and the band only found its own form with the follow-up Sad Wings of Destiny in 1976.

This edition is an LP in a gatefold sleeve, with Diamonds and Rust as a bonus track.
