Turbo originally appeared in 1986 and was the tenth Judas Priest studio album. It is the album on which the band brought in guitar synthesisers: Glenn Tipton and K.K. Downing played their parts through a Roland guitar synth, giving Turbo Lover, Locked In, and Private Property a smoother, more radio-friendly sound than the preceding Defenders of the Faith. The material came out of sessions for a double album with the working title Twin Turbos, and the remainder ended up on Ram It Down. Turbo reached number 17 on the American Billboard 200, the band's commercial peak up to that point.

This edition is an LP, remastered for the album's thirtieth anniversary.
