After the spoken-word project Violet Bent Backwards Over the Grass, Lana Del Rey returned to songs in 2021 with her seventh studio album. Chemtrails Over the Country Club is smaller in scale than Norman Fucking Rockwell!, again with Jack Antonoff at the desk: plenty of acoustic guitar, layered backing vocals, and lyrics about the American interior and life outside Los Angeles. "White Dress" and "Let Me Love You Like a Woman" open the record, which closes with a cover of Joni Mitchell's "For Free" sung with Zella Day and Weyes Blood.

This edition is an LP on translucent cobalt blue vinyl with an alternate cover, released for Record Store Day Black Friday 2021.
