Physical Graffiti began as an ordinary album and grew into a double: the Headley Grange sessions produced more material than would fit on one record, so the band added songs that had been left over from Led Zeppelin III, Houses of the Holy and Led Zeppelin IV. The sixth studio album originally came out in February 1975, the first Led Zeppelin album on their own Swan Song label. The span is wide: 'Kashmir' with its climbing string and brass arrangement, the eleven-minute 'In My Time of Dying', the clavinet groove of 'Trampled Under Foot', the acoustic 'Bron-Yr-Aur' and the ballad 'Ten Years Gone'. The album went to number 1 in both the United States and the United Kingdom; Rolling Stone placed it at number 144 on its 2020 list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. This edition is a 3-LP on black vinyl.
