Nothing's About to Happen to Me is Mitski's eighth studio album, released on 27 February 2026 through Dead Oceans. She worked again with producer and engineer Patrick Hyland, recording at Sunset Sound and TTG Studios in Los Angeles with the band from The Land Is Inhospitable and So Are We tour and an orchestra arranged and conducted by Drew Erickson. According to the accompanying press material, the album follows a reclusive woman in an unkempt house: outside it she is a deviant, inside it she is free. 'Where's My Phone?', 'I'll Change For You', and 'If I Leave' came out as singles.
