Dr. Feelgood gave Mötley Crüe their only number one placing on the US albums chart in 1989. It was the first album the band recorded sober, with producer Bob Rock in Vancouver, and it sounds tighter and heavier than the glam work that preceded it. Kickstart My Heart, Without You, Don't Go Away Mad (Just Go Away) and the title track were all released as singles. The album closed the decade in which the group grew from a Sunset Strip club band into a stadium act. This edition is an LP.
