Will of the People is the ninth studio album by Muse, released on 26 August 2022. The band wrote and recorded it in Los Angeles and London, working through the unrest of the preceding years: a pandemic, protest, war in Europe and wavering democracies. Musically it jumps from industrial rock on 'Will of the People' and 'Kill or Be Killed' to synth-pop and ballads such as 'Ghosts (How Can I Move On)' and 'Verona'. 'Won't Stand Down' and 'Compliance' preceded it as singles. It became the seventh Muse album in a row to enter the UK chart at number one.
