Satanic Blasphemies gathers Necrophobic's earliest material, from the years before the debut album. The compilation holds the demos Slow Asphyxiation (1990) and Unholy Prophecies (1991) and the 1992 EP The Call, plus two rehearsal recordings from 1989. What you hear is a rawer band than on the later albums: Stefan Harrvik sang on the Unholy Prophecies demo and on The Call, while David Parland and Joakim Sterner formed the core. The 1991 and 1992 sessions were taped at Sunlight Studio, where a large part of Swedish death metal was recorded in those years. The collection originally appeared in 2009 on Regain Records.
