Rust Never Sleeps falls into two halves: an acoustic side with "My My, Hey Hey (Out of the Blue)", "Thrasher" and "Pocahontas", and an electric side on which Crazy Horse turns up the volume for "Powderfinger", "Sedan Delivery" and "Hey Hey, My My (Into the Black)". Most of it was recorded on the 1978 tour and reworked in the studio afterwards, which makes it sound like a concert with the audience taken out. Neil Young borrowed the title from Devo, the band he was working with around that time. Rolling Stone included the album in its list of the 500 greatest albums of all time. It was originally released in 1979 on Reprise Records. This edition is an LP.
