Playing Along collected twelve recordings from Norah Jones's podcast Norah Jones Is Playing Along, in which she talks with a guest musician each episode and then plays with them. The album features sessions with Jeff Tweedy, Mavis Staples, Valerie June, Chris Thile, Rodrigo Amarante, and Tarriona 'Tank' Ball among others, running from Wilco's Muzzle of Bees to Set Me Down on a Cloud. The recordings are kept bare, often no more than two voices with piano and guitar.
This edition is an LP on sea blue vinyl, pressed for Record Store Day Black Friday 2023 in an edition of 3,000 copies.
