Introspective consists of six tracks that all run past six minutes, built as extended dance mixes rather than single versions. The third Pet Shop Boys studio album, originally from 1988, opens with the Trevor Horn-produced "Left to My Own Devices", where a string orchestra rubs up against a house beat, and continues through "Domino Dancing", the Sterling Void cover "It's Alright" and "Always on My Mind / In My House". With over four million copies sold it is their second best-selling album.
