The Division Bell originally appeared in 1994 and was Pink Floyd's fourteenth studio album, made by David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Richard Wright without Roger Waters. Wright had writing credits again for the first time in years and sang "Wearing the Inside Out"; the lyrics were largely written with author Polly Samson. Communication, and the failure of it, runs through the album as a theme, from the instrumental "Marooned" to "Keep Talking", which uses Stephen Hawking's computer voice. "High Hopes" closes with church bells and a slide solo by Gilmour. The album entered at number one in both the United Kingdom and the United States. This edition is a 2-LP.
