Complete B-Sides: 1988-97 originally appeared in 2001 as a CD compilation, gathering the B-sides Pixies put on their 4AD singles between 1988 and 1991, from Wave of Mutilation (UK Surf) and Into the White to The Thing and Bailey's Walk. For the 2026 vinyl edition the recordings were remastered from the original analogue tapes by Kevin Vanbergen and joined by six live tracks, spread across four sides. The Chris Bigg sleeve draws on previously unpublished photographs from the archive of Simon Larbalestier, the band's regular photographer during the 4AD years.
