Graffiti Bridge is a soundtrack album by Prince for his film of the same name, originally released in 1990. The film was the sequel to Purple Rain, and The Time also return on the record, with their own tracks such as 'Release It' and 'The Latest Fashion'. The single 'Thieves in the Temple' became an international hit, and the young singer Tevin Campbell scored with the Prince-penned 'Round and Round'. Funk pioneer George Clinton and gospel singer Mavis Staples also contributed. The album blends funk, pop, gospel and psychedelic soul and partly consists of material Prince had recorded earlier in the 1980s. Graffiti Bridge reached number six in the United States and number one in the United Kingdom.
