Parade was Prince's eighth studio album and the third and last to be credited to Prince and The Revolution. It served as the soundtrack to Under the Cherry Moon, the film Prince directed himself, and originally came out in 1986 on Paisley Park Records. The sound is tighter and airier than that of Purple Rain, with horns, string arrangements, and French influences. Lead single "Kiss" spent two weeks at number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, Prince's third US chart-topper. The album closes with the ballad "Sometimes It Snows in April". Prince dissolved the band in October 1986, shortly after the Parade tour. This edition is an LP in a gatefold sleeve.
