The Game is the first Queen album to feature a synthesizer, after years in which the band had 'no synthesisers' printed on every sleeve. It was recorded at Musicland Studios in Munich with producer Reinhold Mack and moved towards funk, rockabilly and danceable rhythms. Crazy Little Thing Called Love and Another One Bites The Dust both reached number 1 in the United States, and the album gave Queen their first American number 1 on the album chart. Play The Game, Need Your Loving Tonight and the ballad Save Me are on it as well. It was originally released in 1980 via EMI and Elektra.
