Sehnsucht won Rammstein an audience that spoke no German. Du hast and Engel travelled the world, and the album was certified platinum by the RIAA in the United States, the only entirely German-language album to manage that. Du hast also brought a 1999 Grammy nomination for Best Metal Performance. The second studio album, originally from 1997, keeps to the formula of the debut but adds more melody and more electronics: Engel with its whistled theme, the marching build of Du hast, and the restrained Klavier.

This edition is a 2-LP, released as an anniversary edition with remastered audio and an extra mix of Spiel mit mir.
