After a break of almost four years, Roxy Music returned in 1979 with Manifesto, the sixth studio album. Bryan Ferry, Andy Mackay, Phil Manzanera, and Paul Thompson recorded it with session players rather than permanent members, and the album is split in two: an East Side of longer, darker songs such as Manifesto and Stronger Through the Years, and a West Side that leans towards disco and pop. That second half produced the hits Dance Away and Angel Eyes, which set the tone for Flesh and Blood and Avalon. The album originally appeared on Polydor in the UK. This edition is an LP on 180-gram vinyl, half-speed remaster.
