Virgin Killer originally appeared in late 1976 and, at just over thirty-five minutes, is the shortest Scorpions album. Uli Jon Roth delivered his sharpest lead playing to date on Pictured Life, Catch Your Train and the title track, while Yellow Raven and Polar Nights showed the band's quieter, psychedelically tinged side. The fourth studio album made the shift audible from the searching early work to the compact hard rock that followed. The original sleeve drew so many objections in several countries that record companies replaced it with a photograph of the band. This edition is a remastered 180 gram LP on sky blue vinyl.
