Arise, originally released in 1991, is the record on which Sepultura's thrash got tightest and heaviest. It was recorded at Morrisound Recording in Tampa with producer Scott Burns, the same pairing as on its predecessor Beneath the Remains. Dead Embryonic Cells, Desperate Cry and Under Siege (Regnum Irae) have been live staples ever since, and Arise was the album that carried the band fully into the American and European metal circuits. This edition is a 2-LP, an expanded reissue with demos, writing-session recordings, live versions and a studio take on the Motörhead cover Orgasmatron.
