Two years after the debut, Men and Women showed that the Motown influence in Simply Red was no passing shade. Mick Hucknall wrote Infidelity and Suffer with Lamont Dozier, and the credit 'Hucknall/Dozier/Hucknall' nodded to Holland/Dozier/Holland. The Right Thing became the album's biggest hit, reaching number 11 in the United Kingdom and charting on the American Hot 100.
