Stop Making Sense is the live album to Jonathan Demme's concert film of the same name and originally appeared in 1984. The recordings come from three nights at the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood in December 1983, during the tour behind Speaking in Tongues. The show builds from David Byrne alone on stage with a boombox to a nine-piece band, including Parliament-Funkadelic keyboardist Bernie Worrell and singers Lynn Mabry and Ednah Holt. The album carries live versions of 'Psycho Killer', 'Burning Down the House', 'Once in a Lifetime' and 'Take Me to the River'. Halfway through the show Byrne appears in the oversized suit that became the film's emblem. This edition is a 2-LP.
