The breezy 'Friday I'm in Love' and the dreamy 'High' sit beside long, heavy pieces such as 'From the Edge of the Deep Green Sea' and 'End', where Robert Smith pushes audibly against the expectations that success brought with it. The line-up - Smith, Simon Gallup, Porl Thompson, Boris Williams and Perry Bamonte - was the same one that recorded the live albums Show and Paris shortly afterwards.

This edition is a 2-LP on black vinyl, released as an anniversary edition marking the album's thirtieth year.
