The Who – The Who Sell Out 5X CD + 2X 7", Deluxe Box-Set

The Who Sell Out is built as a pirate radio broadcast: between the songs run Radio London jingles and home-made adverts for Heinz baked beans, Odorono deodorant and Medac spot cream. The 1967 album contains 'I Can See For Miles', the band's only American top 10 single, and closes with 'Rael', which carries musical themes Townshend later reused in Tommy. The sleeve, with Daltrey in a bath of beans and Townshend behind an oversized deodorant stick, belongs to the same joke. This super deluxe edition from 2021 gathers the mono and the stereo version, the 1967 and 1968 studio sessions, the run-up to Tommy and Townshend's own demos. This edition is a box set with five CDs and two 7-inch singles.
