Little Earthquakes is the debut album by American singer and pianist Tori Amos, originally released in 1992 on East West Records. The album came about after her earlier project, the rock band Y Kant Tori Read, had met with little success, and marked her shift to a piano-driven, personal style. Songs such as "Silent All These Years" and "Crucify" were released as singles and contributed to the album's breakthrough. The track "Me and a Gun" is an a cappella song in which Amos sings about a rape she herself had experienced. Little Earthquakes was produced by, among others, Davitt Sigerson, Eric Rosse and Ian Stanley, and brought Tori Amos international recognition as a singer-songwriter.
