Van Morrison recorded his fourth studio album in 1970 at A&R Studios in New York, with a settled band and a vocal group he named the Street Choir. Originally released in November 1970 through Warner Bros., it lost the title he had in mind, Virgo's Fool, when the record company changed it without consulting him. The album sounds looser and airier than Moondance: Domino, Blue Money, and Call Me Up In Dreamland run on horns and handclaps, with Crazy Face and Street Choir as the quieter moments. Domino became his highest-charting single in the United States. Morrison himself later had little good to say about it. This edition is an LP.
