What's It Gonna Take? gathers fifteen of Van Morrison's own songs, on which he speaks out against lockdown policy and the press in titles such as Fighting Back Is the New Normal, Sometimes It's Just Blah Blah Blah, and Fear and Self-Loathing In Las Vegas. Musically he stays close to the rhythm and blues and the blues shuffle of his live band. He produced the album himself in 2022 and recorded it across several locations, from Real World Studios in Wiltshire and Musicbox Studios in Cardiff to hotel rooms in Bath and County Down. This edition is a 2-LP on opaque grey vinyl.
