David Coverdale wrote most of it with guitarist John Sykes, who left the band before its release; Adrian Vandenberg played the solo on the newly recorded version of Here I Go Again. With Still of the Night, Is This Love and Give Me All Your Love the blues rock of the British years was reshaped into arena hard rock with big choruses and a polished production. The album reached number 2 on the Billboard 200 and went eight times platinum in the United States. This edition is a picture disc in a die-cut sleeve, a Record Store Day pressing of 6500 copies using the 2017 remastered audio.
