Into the Light is the third solo album by David Coverdale, singer of Whitesnake and former frontman of Deep Purple, released in 2000. After the earlier solo albums White Snake (1977) and Northwinds (1978), it was his first solo work in over twenty years. Coverdale opted for a more subdued, blues-oriented style than Whitesnake's hard rock sound. The album includes River Song, his tribute to Jimi Hendrix, and the songs Love Is Blind and Don't You Cry. The single Slave reached the American Mainstream Rock chart. The album was released by EMI.
