The Yes Album was the third Yes studio album, from 1971, and the first with guitarist Steve Howe, who had replaced Peter Banks. Where the first two records still partly consisted of covers, this one holds only the band's own multi-part compositions: 'Yours Is No Disgrace', 'Starship Trooper' and 'I've Seen All Good People', with Howe's acoustic solo piece 'Clap', recorded live, in between. Keyboard player Tony Kaye played organ and piano here for the last time before Rick Wakeman took his place. The album gave Yes their first high placing in the British album chart and laid the groundwork for the run that continued with Fragile and Close to the Edge. This edition is an LP.
