A sitar on "Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown)", the soul groove of "Drive My Car" and the reflective "In My Life": on Rubber Soul, originally released in December 1965, The Beatles widened their sound considerably. "Nowhere Man", "Michelle" and "Girl" are also on the album. In 2020 Rolling Stone placed Rubber Soul at number 35 on its 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. This edition features the stereo mix Giles Martin and Sam Okell made from the original four-track master tapes, with help from the de-mixing technology developed by Emile de la Rey's team at Peter Jackson's WingNut Films.
This edition is a 2LP, with session highlights, demos and the single "Day Tripper" / "We Can Work It Out" on the second disc.
