Bustin' + Dronin' collects remixes of the untitled 1997 album Blur, made by William Orbit, Moby, Thurston Moore and John McEntire among others. The set originally appeared in Japan only, in 1998, as a double CD that also carried a live session for John Peel, and reached number 50 on the UK album chart as an import. The remixes pull "Beetlebum", "Death of a Party" and "On Your Own" apart into dub, ambient and noise. Orbit's work impressed the band enough that he went on to produce 13. The vinyl release carries the nine remixes, without the Peel session.
