Blur

Blur formed in London in the late 1980s around singer Damon Albarn, guitarist Graham Coxon, bassist Alex James and drummer Dave Rowntree. After the shoegaze-tinged debut Leisure (1991), Modern Life Is Rubbish and Parklife turned the band towards a pointedly English songwriting style full of everyday observation, and made Blur the face of Britpop. The race for the number 1 spot against Oasis in August 1995 made the national news in Britain. Blur then changed course: the untitled 1997 album drew on American indie rock and produced the worldwide hit Song 2, 13 pushed further into experiment, and Think Tank was made without Coxon. After the 2009 reunion came The Magic Whip (2015) and The Ballad of Darren (2023).

This collection brings together Blur on vinyl, LP and CD: the studio albums from the Britpop years and after, live releases and collected B-sides.
