Cheap Trick

Cheap Trick formed in 1973 in Rockford, Illinois, around singer Robin Zander, guitarist Rick Nielsen, bassist Tom Petersson and drummer Bun E. Carlos. The band tied the melodies of the British 1960s to the volume of American hard rock, which made them one of the defining names in power pop. Their breakthrough came by way of Japan: the live album At Budokan, recorded in Tokyo in April 1978, went on to become their best-selling record in the United States and finally turned 'I Want You to Want Me' into a hit. Dream Police followed, along with the American number 1 ballad 'The Flame' in 1988 and a run of studio albums that continued through to All Washed Up in 2025. The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2016.

This collection brings together Cheap Trick on vinyl, LP and CD: the early work from the 1970s, live albums, compilations, and more recent studio records.
