L.A. Woman was originally released in 1971 on Elektra Records and was the sixth and final studio album The Doors recorded with singer Jim Morrison, who died in Paris a few months after its release. The band returned to the blues, with the title track 'L.A. Woman', 'Love Her Madly' and the storm-framed 'Riders on the Storm'. Producer Paul A. Rothchild had stepped away, leaving the band to co-produce with engineer Bruce Botnick, partly recording in their own rehearsal workshop on Santa Monica Boulevard.

This edition is a remastered LP on black vinyl, with a die-cut jacket.
