The Dance documented the reunion of the line-up that had made Rumours: in May 1997 Lindsey Buckingham, Stevie Nicks, Christine McVie, John McVie and Mick Fleetwood stood on a stage together for the first time in more than ten years, on a soundstage in Burbank, for a recording made for MTV. The live album originally appeared in 1997 and entered the US chart at number one. Alongside 'The Chain', 'Dreams', 'Rhiannon', 'Landslide' and 'Go Your Own Way' it holds four new songs, plus 'Silver Springs', which had been pulled from Rumours back in 1977. On several pieces the University of Southern California marching band plays along, as it once did on 'Tusk'.
