Meteora originally appeared in 2003 and continued the sound of Hybrid Theory, more tightly edited and with more room for Mike Shinoda's raps and Joe Hahn's electronic layers. The album produced the singles "Somewhere I Belong", "Faint", "Breaking the Habit" and "Numb". The title refers to the Greek monasteries on the rocks of Meteora, and the artwork was made with Dutch graffiti artist Delta. The album entered at number 1 in the United States and the United Kingdom. A twentieth-anniversary edition followed in 2023, with demos, unreleased tracks and live recordings from 2003 and 2004.
