In April 1988 George Harrison needed a B-side for a European single. He recorded Handle with Care in Bob Dylan's garage studio in Malibu with Jeff Lynne, Roy Orbison and Tom Petty, and the song turned out too good to tuck away. That was the start of the Traveling Wilburys, five musicians posing as the Wilbury brothers. Harrison and Lynne produced the nine songs that followed, from Dylan's Tweeter and the Monkey Man to the closing End of the Line. The album won Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal at the 1990 Grammy Awards.
