Covers gathers the cover versions Deftones recorded over the course of their career, originally released on 16 April 2011 as a Record Store Day edition through Warner Bros. Records, in a run of 5,000 copies. Most of the recordings had appeared earlier on B-Sides & Rarities (2005) and on the digital edition of Diamond Eyes (2010). The first side holds Drive by The Cars, Caress by Drive Like Jehu, Please Please Please Let Me Get What I Want by The Smiths, No Ordinary Love by Sade, Savory by Jawbox and Do You Believe by The Cardigans. The second side brings Simple Man by Lynyrd Skynyrd, Ghosts by Japan, The Chauffeur by Duran Duran, a live rendition of If Only Tonight We Could Sleep by The Cure and the instrumental Sleep Walk by Santo & Johnny.
