The Hole is a studio album by The Hague rock band Golden Earring, originally released in 1986. During this period the band consisted of singer Barry Hay, guitarist George Kooymans, bassist Rinus Gerritsen and drummer Cesar Zuiderwijk. The single 'Quiet Eyes' became a Dutch hit; 'Why Do I' was also released as a single. The album followed the live album Something Heavy Going Down and showcases the band's slicker, radio-oriented rock sound of the 1980s. Golden Earring is regarded as the most successful Dutch rock band, with a career spanning more than half a century.
