In March and November 1974 Queen played the Rainbow Theatre in London twice, first on the tour around Queen II and later on the one around Sheer Heart Attack. Both nights are on this live album, which catches the band in the phase when they were still filling theatres rather than the stadiums of later years. Ogre Battle, Liar and Son And Daughter get plenty of room, with guitar and drum solos in between, while Seven Seas Of Rhye, Killer Queen and In The Lap Of The Gods... Revisited show how fast the repertoire grew in that single year. Freddie Mercury, Brian May, John Deacon and Roger Taylor play without the theatrical production of later tours, everything comes from those four men on stage. The recordings originally appeared in 2014 via Virgin EMI Records, cut at half speed at Abbey Road Studios.
This edition is a 2-LP.
