Blue, the sixth studio album by Simply Red, leaned on covers more heavily than its predecessors. Mick Hucknall recorded Gregory Isaacs' Night Nurse in Kingston, picked The Hollies' The Air That I Breathe as a single, and also took on Dennis Brown's Ghetto Girl. In between sat his own songs, among them Say You Love Me and the title track, in the soul-pop the band had grown big with. The album originally reached number 1 in the United Kingdom in 1998. This edition is an LP on blue vinyl, pressed for National Album Day 2023.
