The soundtrack to the feature film What's Love Got to Do with It, the screen version of Tina Turner's life story, was originally released in June 1993. Turner re-recorded songs from her years with the Ike & Tina Turner Revue for it, among them "A Fool in Love", "Proud Mary" and "Nutbush City Limits", alongside new material. Of that new work "I Don't Wanna Fight" became a top 10 hit in both the United Kingdom and the United States. The album reached number 1 on the British album chart and made the top 10 in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Canada, among other countries.

This edition is an LP on black vinyl, remastered for the album's 30th anniversary.
