Necrophobic's third studio album originally appeared in October 1999 on Black Mark Production. The line-up of Tobias Sidegård on vocals and bass with the guitar pair Sebastian Ramstedt and Martin Halfdan leans heavily on harmony leads and tremolo melodies over a death metal rhythm section. "Rise of the Infernal" opens at high speed, "Frozen Empire" and "Into Armageddon" keep it there, and the drawn-out "One Last Step Into the Great Mist" closes the eleven tracks. For the 2022 reissue Dan Swanö remastered the album at Unisound Studio.
