For Behaviour, Pet Shop Boys went to Munich and produced their fourth studio album with Harold Faltermeyer, chosen for his collection of old analogue synthesisers. The result sounds warmer and slower than what came before: "Being Boring" looks back at friends from the seventies and eighties, while "So Hard" and "Jealousy" deal with mistrust and obsession. Johnny Marr plays guitar on "This Must Be the Place I Waited Years to Leave" and "My October Symphony", Angelo Badalamenti wrote the orchestral arrangements and the Balanescu Quartet plays the strings. The album was originally released in 1990.
